     Welcome to an environment designed and curated for builders, fabricators, crafters and DIY enthusiasts.  I’m Jeff Estes, a home builder, small business consultant, and fabrication instructor based in Nashville.

     In 2014 I became majority owner of Five String Furniture, where I had the opportunity and privilege of growing a small team of welders, woodworkers and fabricators capable who excelled at building custom furniture and fixtures for brands like Budweiser, Moxy Hotels, and Cracker Barrel. Around 2016, I founded Loading Dock Nashville, a coffee shop and bar designed to support local artists and makers while providing a creative venue for the community. 

     Selling both companies in 2018, I stepped away from the furniture and hospitality industry  to focus on my work as a home builder, small business consultant, and fabrication instructor, combining my passion for building with years of experience to help others bring their projects to life.

Acacia Live Edge Table

Had the pleasure of building this live edge acacia table and bench set for some lovely clients in Nashville who wanted to add a touch of warmth and craftsmanship to their home. We thiink it certainly sets the mood.

Where freehand meets need

Built In Storage and Bench

The client needed a large amount of file and book storage without changing the feel of the room. With a angular cileing to work with, we designed and built this piece on site to match the vibe.

Custom Wall

A beautifully curated slat wall and table we built for the Entrepreneur Center in Nashville. Oak with variant stain selections to break up the room a bit.

The Entrepreneur Center

  • Oak Slatted Wall

    We designed this wall using 1/2" plywood slats with various stains with a random pattern using Sketchup modeling to insure a pleasant layout.

  • Matching Oak Table

    A red solid red oak table to match the room for the ultimate podcast experience.

  • Variant Pattern

    Installation took about one day and was fabricated in about one day iin the shop.
